What is an API?

An API (Application Programming Interface) is like a user interface for software developers.  Each of our 450+ distinct API programming commands can be used to input, update, or report on anything in your OneNetworkDirect system.  Make an individual API command to perform a simple task, or combine APIs and other programming code to build almost anything.

Who Can Use the APIs?

It’s completely up to you.  Provide access to your own users, affiliates, advertisers, or technology partners by setting authorization permissions down to the specific API command.  In addition to adjusting the allowable amount of usage, you can create “user accounts” for a specific custom program.

With REST, developers can use knowledge they already have with languages such as PHP, JavaScript, or .NET to build scalable programs that work across all web environments.  Data can be managed in XML and JSON formats, and nearly every API includes identifying “metadata” that allow your developers to programmatically string APIs together to create powerful custom functionality.
